Children in this class should be 3 old by August 31st. The class ratio is 14 children to 2 teachers.  This class is designed to help children engage and learn socially.

Goals
The 3 year olds will participate in the following activities during the year:

• Play in Centers :Art , Building with blocks, Dramatic Play/Housekeeping , Library, Manipulatives
• Daily Special Participation: Chapel, Discovery: Science/Math/Cooking, Music and movement
• Holiday and birthday celebrations
• Opportunities to share from home

The 3 year olds will enhance their development in the following:

• Emotionally & spiritually:
• Attends chapel and says Blessing before snack
• Christian songs taught (This little light, Jesus Loves the little children)
• Bible stories
• Building Self-esteem and self-confidence though completing task
• Easing separation anxiety
• Social skills:
• Functioning in the classroom independently and group settings
• Making appropriate choices in classroom activities
• Following multi-step directions
• Getting along with peers and playing together in a group setting
• Taking turns & Learning to wait
• Uses words to communicate feelings, needs, and wants
• Sitting at table for snack time
• Physically & Mentally:
• Cognitive activities - exposure to the alphabet, numbers, etc.
• Full Potty-Trained by December
• Gross motor skills (throwing, catching balls, stand on one foot, etc.)
• Fine motor skills (cutting, puzzles, peg boards, prewriting and writing skills)
• Creativity
